Re: Does made in USA matter?

The St. Croix Imperial ( version II) is one of the best rods for the money that I have fished. I own one in five weight. When it comes to reels at a six weight you are still essentially buying a line holder. Spend the vast majority of your money on the rod and wait to purchase a nice reel with a nic...

Re: Muskie Umbrella Rig

Essentially up here we start off the ice out with smaller presentations. That may be a spinner , jerkbait ( including rubber ones) etc. but they are the smallest presentation of the year moved much slower than what happens once the water warms. As temps warm we mostly switch to bladed baits moving t...

First 4 ski day there was bright , clear, hot (78 water temps in 4 feet of water) and the only thing my guide wo...

Re: Muskie Umbrella Rig

Those range from #5 and relatively light to #12 ( on the black shad pattern) and VERY heavy. I make anything from 1/4oz and up. Sometimes way up.

Re: Muskie Umbrella Rig

Just started making the U-Rigs and testing before ice up.
All the large (4-6oz) spinnerbaits tell me these will work too.
All my big skis are caught on my big blades ... and big rubbers.
Molds next.
