Re: OG's vs copies

Berkley Nessie - Gan Craft Jointed Claw Shape-S The Nessie is a knockoff of the Grow Design Works Flag. There's really no ethical argument to be made for ripping off someone else's innovation and hard work, nor any legitimate excuse as consumers to buy knockoff products. You can tell yourself w/e y...

Re: Phenix Spreads Their Wings Into the Line Market with Hydra Braid

Good to know that is seems to be a quality line. I'm always wary when a certain type of company (in this case rod builder) magically develops and brings to market a new product. Did they slap together a PE factory, or are they outsourcing and if so where and with whom? Questions I always like to kn...

Re: 2024 All new Posion Adrena

I thought Shimano would trickle down their Ci4/cork foregrips from the Glorious, but instead they doubled down on the metal locknut + no foregrip for spinning models...looks even more uncomfortable than the current spinning handles.

Daiwa Tatula 200 or Type HD (beater saltwater reel)

Any difference between these 2 models? Is the type HD an older model - I vaguely recall the first gen Tatulas having T wing issues. Will be running braid to leader.

Any other suggestions for throwing 1-3oz baits in that price range would be appreciated :)

Re: DRT rods, tho

Long sweep and long pause to let it drift down, fast jerk, jerk, pause like a jerkbait, slow, steady retrieve with tip up and tip down, slow steady sweeps to give it a wide S pattern. You name it, I tried it. Nada. The only 2 ways I fish my TK is dead walking with the short lip + V tail, and deep w...

Re: Small paddle tail rod… 76 preferred

I’m looking for something in the 76 range with a softer action. The Tatula Elite AGS 76MLM (Seth Feider model, not the Johnston model) is what you're looking for. It reminds me of the old blue Steez AGS 76MLM - softer through the tip and mid than the current Compile X Steez but plenty of backbone a...

The review stated that the M56 handled 3.5 - 4oz baits easily. Were you full on sending those payloads, or were you more side arm lob-casting those baits?
