Re: Rod decisions....the struggle is real!

Hp line of dobyns is a great rod. I have had great success with various models, including 703c, 744c, 745c and 784cml!

Re: Rod for submerged grass

That's an easy choice for me, the US Destroyer Valdiva. It's a fantastic rod for exactly what you've described. The FMJ is also outstanding and can handle the 1 oz on the upper end, but for the deeper grass and heavier weights, the Valdiva is excellent. It also won't over power the 1/2 oz stuff you...

Rod for submerged grass

Looking for a new rod for the upcoming season. Popular technique around me is flipping/pitching submerged grass. Anywhere from 3-15 ft of water. Pretty thick for the most part but does not matt up on the surface like other places. Typically use 3/4 oz weight pending on how thick it is. Sometimes I s...

I think I need to try one of these out.. fraction of the cost of a Met dc, which is an unbelievable reel.

Re: Daiwa SS SV 103 jdm

I have one and use it for lighter trigs. 3/16-1/4 oz with smallie beavers to sparse cover and it has done me just fine for the price I paid. The fact that you can get these for a reasonable price of 150 stock I think they are worth that price tag
