Re: Some Float n Fly jigs
Very nice. I still haven't picked up tying yet but that is exactly what I would want to turn out!

Re: Spare spool options for Curado 50E
Curious if there is any significant difference in weight between these spools....

Re: UL only?
It really is more enjoyable. The gear is light weight, the tackle is small enough to fit a huge variety in a waist pack and I always catch something. What's not to like?
The only thing is fishing deep water is easier with the heavy gear imo.

UL only?
Curious how many of you only fish UL tackle. As of now I only have my one UL outfit and I'm not in a rush to put together something heavier even though I have the gear. When I fish I usually only have a couple hours to spend on the water so I like to spend it catching anything that will bite and UL ...

This is what I'm looking to tie or something similar. They look like simple patterns and those spro have produced quite well for me.
Keep in mind I have zero experience with this, lol.

Tying jigs
I'm looking into tying jigs as I've had success fishing store bought hair jigs like the spro flies but would like to make my own. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Maybe even suggest a starting kit? I still need to look into a jig maker that uses gamakatsu hooks for crappie jigs instead of...

Re: Peacock Mania
Must go there.
Those are bigger than the ones I've caught down here in Miami, FL. After catching these, I cant imagine living in a place that doesn't have them. Btw, our record down here is something like 15# iirc.
Beautiful fish.

Re: $60 rods
Best $40 I've spent in a while. It's surprisingly sensitive, responsive and recovers quickly. Over all quality is nice including the cork grips which I was worried about on a rod this cheap. I've held over cheap rods with cork grips that felt spongey but these feel good. Balanced very well with a si...

Re: $60 rods
I would say so! Got it today and so far I'm pretty impressed for what turned out to be a $40 rod. I may have to pick up another just because they're so cheap with fuji components. I'll try to give a report soon.

Re: $60 rods
Good call Smead. They should now be changing their shipping on the 2 pieces to $10. Got my refund also.

Re: $60 rods
I went ahead and bit the bullet. It should be on the way tomorrow. After putting my president on my old ugly stick light and missing a few fish today, I'll appreciate any bit of quality. The one Mayan cichlid I managed to pull in still didn't change how I feel a out that uglys noodle like quality. I...

$60 rods
I'm about to pull the trigger on a 6' 2 piece procyon but was curious if there is any other $60 rods worth looking at. It will be paired with a 6925 president and 15/4 braid.

Re: UL soft plastics tactics
One small bait I don't see mentioned often and that has worked great for me is the lake fork baby shad.

They also make them with a boot tail.
