Re: Misc Neat
Did anyone else note the price on that Inch Minnow ... $1.05  Most of us probably have that in loose change in the cup holder of our cars. I bet more than one angler looked at that back when it was on a shelf and thought " $1.05 ??!! ... is that thing made of gold ?" That is an interesting look...

Heddon Flyrod Punkinseed...appears that that came both in dingle hook and treble varieties...about 1" long: http://img19.imageshack.us/img19/3302/heddonpunkinseedflyrods.jpg Uploaded with ImageShack.us Interesting ... the angle of the bill would indicate an extremely shallow (> 1') diver. Re: Anyone fished a USDM Presso yet?
Using this chart as a guideline, I'd say it's definitely in the range of fast to extra fast... fishing-rod-action.gif As far as sensitivity, honestly I've fished pretty much moving baits (small jigheads, cranks, etc.) since I got it, so I can't give you an honest answer. Can I feel the wiggle of a t...

Please elaborate.
I have visions of those old luggage ccommercials where they let a gorilla have at it inside the enclosure with a piece of luggage

Re: New UL Rapala
One thing I was going to mention was several reports of lip breakage on the Ultralight Shad that I have read. Seems like the eye hardware does not extend into the lure body and so if if breaks, you catch is gone with a mouthful of lure. From looking at pictures, the Ultralight Crank has the same de...

Re: Fenwick river runner 6'2" SL
For what it's worth, I own the 6' 8" UL and I can throw Bitsy Minnows and Snap Beans a very respectable distance. Line choice will figure into the equation also.

Well, one thing's for certain ... this predated the PC police and their endless campaign to stamp out anything that may suggest taking up a harmful pastime ...

Re: Night fishing ultralight equipment?
I pretty much night fish exclusively from June to September because I hate fishing in the heat and I do much better at night. I pretty much stick to what works for me during the day. I also don't buy into the theory that you need dark noisy baits. I'm not saying they don't work, they often do, but t...

Re: PowerPro Micro Line
I see big fish as a bonus, but I guess the main thing for me is the variety of species I'd never see using nothing but heavier gear. My favorite, and most elusive to me, are the monster bull gills. Nothing has come close to that fight for me, I need to be able to dial into them better. That's one of...

And 2 makes 12
These two crappie from today are significant in that they mean I've caught fish in every month of this year - a first for me out here. I don't ice fish, and last winter being a mild one made it possible. Not a big deal, but a neat accomplishment for me anyhow. I don't think I'll be able to pull this...

Good points brought up. Makes me think about things differently, especially when you factor in most lines don't break anywhere close to their rating.

Re: Patriarch mg spinning reel
I don't own a Patriarch, but do own a Trion, Supreme, and two different versions of the Supreme XT (previous generation gold colored one and the current one). All have been excellent reels for me, I don't see why the Patriarch would be any different.
