Re: Yesterday
I kept telling myself that I was throwing big baits all day cos I was monster hunting. It was really more that I just couldn't get in a groove with anything else. The jerkbait didn't feel right, the shakey head kept hanging up, and I couldn't get a craw colored crank to run true to save my soul. Oh,...

Re: Weapons of BASS Destruction 2015 Edition
Here are my starting 4 baitcasting setups. I only have 8 setups due to rod storage restrictions in my boat and usually only bring the 5 i know i need. As you can see i prefer quality over quantity. My spinning stuff is still pending. I'll be back but continue posting up your lineup. Enjoy!! :mrgree...

Re: Megabass new budget rod
I'll definitely be interested to see some more details too. I like the purple a lot and would fish it til the guides fall off. It wouldn't hurt my feelings if they'd of done something flashier with the reel seat/handle portion of the rod. I like the style and individuality of the old school MB rods ...

Megabass/JDM spinning reel advice
I pulled the trigger and I'm in the process of buying my first spinning rod. I was able to score a Destroyer X7 F3•1/2-610X7S Simoon and now I'm gonna need a reel for it. I'm planning on fishing 8# line for the most part, but will definitely fish some 6# too tho I don't see myself going any lower th...

Well, I'm sure all of you are just dying to know what I decided I pulled the trigger on a spinning rod. Now I've just gotta figure out which reel to put on it...

Re: My first Fairy Wand. BC or Spin?
My take on fineness ...... True finesse ..... After thousand and thousands ....lll spinning will get u there ! Quote from me though u need high end spinning IE Stella is the low end! Now trust me when I say I'm a fan of high end gear, but what's your reasoning behind the quote? Does the cheaper spi...

Yesterday
Evidently the fish didn't care for my offerings, but my buddy managed these two. The first was 6.5 and the second was 5.5. Water temp was anywhere from 45-50 degrees.

Re: Estimate the weight
I'm not worth a wooden nickle at guessing weights, but nice catch. I think I might hafta put one like that on the wall. Especially at 25 inches. I caught a 24" last year that only weighed 7lbs. Healthly looking fish, he was just long and skinny. His head did look like it was about two sizes two big ...

Re: Megabass Eeler
I watched some of this vid the other day on MB's Facebook page. Looked pretty interesting. Definitely looked good under the water. Wondered if it would catch fish down here or not. No eels where I fish, but I reckon it could pass for a snake too.

Re: Is it Daiwa, Shimano, or someone else?
Daiwa, just cos I love my new Zonda Rosso :big grin: That being said, I have an Okuma Serrano that is a great reel. Very smooth, plenty of power, and it's a good bait chunker. Other than having to remove the side plate to adjust the brake, which I don't really care for, it's a very solid, well made ...

Re: My new toy
Thanks guys. I got super lucky on a great deal from a fellow member here on the forum. Got it spooled up and took it out this afternoon for a spin. Never had a reel that is this smooth or that I could loosen the brakes on as much as I did and not end up with a mess. Hopefully my next reel will be an...

Re: Proshop Otsuka
You have to email them with your rod order and then they'll get back to you and let you know if they can order it. It says they can get most any JDM rod that's available.lund40 wrote:Went to their site did not see any rods...help please
