I hate to admit it but the 1 that works the best for me is belive it or not is the Cabelas (pork chop) in Cha-Ching. Keep in mind I own just about every kind of 0-6ft bait you can name.

I like black lures(buzzjet/s-waver) in that size early in the morning when the water is smooth as glass.

I hear ya. My gut keeps telling me to go with 30lb brake away split rings and 50lb braid I just can't see how I would loose 1 that way. But I still thank you all for your ideas it can NEVER hurt to find out if anyone else has a better idea. Lucky you with the top hook model though should mean a lot ...

I need to get a new telescopic plug knocker my buddy dropped the last one in Bullards Barr(Skeets fav. lake) I have landed huge northern pike with 30lb. Samurai braid and pulled a few underwater stumps,tires ect. The only thing I have ever used 80lb. for is Musky. I'm fishing a pea gravel or sand bo...

I was also thinking 20lb. Smartlink(brake away) Titanium split rings and 30lb. braid so I can get my bait back if it gets stuck. Anyone's thoughts on this. Anyone ever thry this combo? Would 30 rings 50 braid be better?

My trick & negotiator came with 2 different size hooks. My ? is does the big 1 go on the front or back? I'm assuming it goes in front but wanted to check. Also anyone change out the stock hooks and what did you change them too.

Thanks for the ES. I thought you would grab the Deps for your toothy critters(musky&northerns) up north. They worked for me in MN and ND.
