Re: New GLX rods
Just received GLX 893 from the great people at TackleTrap. Mine weighs 4.2oz and probably one the best builds IMO that Loomis as done to date. My rod is absolutely flawless and balance feels much better in hand without reel than the NRX 893. No question come spring my boat will be loaded with these ...

Re: NRX 842s sjr and NRX 902s jwr?
My choice would be the 902. More power than the 822dsr but still has that mod-fast taper when fighting bigger fish. The 902 is easily my favorite NRX to fish and probably the best smallmouth rod I've laid hands on. I love snapping 3/8oz tubes with it looking for aggressive fish. While the 842 might ...

Re: NRX rod finish
My 902S puchased few months ago arrived exactly like that. Purchased from TT but crossed shipped directly from Loomis. So far no issues but I might send pics to Loomis just to see what they say.

Re: What's your favorite NRX and why ?
Yeah, this is a tough one. But recently received a 902s from the great people at TackleTrap and now I can honestly say this rod rules over all other NRX on my boat which consist of 893c, 843c, 853c and 822s DSR. There is not a more versatile rod in the lineup IMO from jigs, tubes, cranks, blade bait...

Re: NRX 843C MBR and Destroyer Phase III, F4-6-10X Elseil
Had the X7 Super Elseil F4-611 which I sold and have a NRX 843C for a full season now. Sensitivity still goes to the NRX, both are very versatile but still give the edge to the 843 due to it can handle slightly heavier weights. Looks the Super Elseil wins but that's all it has on the NRX IMO. Obviou...

Re: Curado 70XG first... And second impressions
First trip with new 70XG today. Noticed right away out of box spool didn't free spin very well. Removed bearings to find one was completely DOA and other was so so even after I cleaned them. Replaced with some leftover Metanium stock ones made a night/day difference. Two brakes on ext. dial at 4 my ...

Re: Loomis GLX 801S vs. GLX 802S
These are not what you want. Underrated rods in terms of power didn't like my 801S for casting 1/8oz jigheads. Actually prefer the 2 power NRX 842S for finesse over the GLX spin/jig rods.

Re: NRX vs. 2016 Legend Elite
I wouldn't say it's a mind blowing difference in sensitivity but my NRX 822DSR and 842s seem to transmit slightly better than my new legend Elite 610 MLXF spin. Build quality goes to StCroix and probably customer service as well. The rods you mention would be used totally different IMO as the 852s h...

Re: Dobyns Extreme HP up on website
Thanks for your reply. Just noticed the 736cb glass on their site. Looks like something I should seriously consider. Hopefully it will be available early spring not late spring.

Re: Dobyns Extreme HP up on website
So without starting a new thread have a few questions. Now that I'm seeing fuji guides I'm assuming the complete Champion line will be called XP with fuji guides? Also looking for a versatile Dobyns for 1/2-3/4oz paddle tail rod mostly 4-5" /Scrounger head same size. I'm reading the new HP have a li...

Re: New Jerkbait from OSP
yea..we've been using it the past year. great bait, still prefer the rudra. Do you find the Rudra gets bit as well as JB'S in the 78-97 and 110 size category? Asking because I'd like to pick up the Varuna but they don't seem to be all that available yet and most colors in the Rudra and Asura are ea...

Re: St. Croix Legend Elite 6'10"MLXF spinning
thanks again guys. i have a few NRX spinning rods so I am looking for something very soft to stand out from the others for light DS but I cannot justify buying the 822 DSR as I do not dropshot very often. Im hoping to find something similar in the Legend Elite line so I can trade a broken rod for i...
