While not truly a topwater lure (rides about 1" under the surface temps if you want), this is now my favorite Fryebait. I have made a few varieties. They catch skies.

I'm not sure any dealer would authorize a full return on a used good. Clothing stores dont, car dealers dont, why would a reel be any different? Thats usually about the only reason i seen them get damaged. Just double check the springs for the pinion guide when you tear the reel apart. Maybe order new ones just in case. Are you taking about the two spring which hold down the yolk ? Thanks. Also, does anyone know that part number for the pin...
