Switching curado gears

Sorry, old question. I have a couple 200e5 curado and i want to make 6:1+ gear ratio. What gears can I put into them? And replace only main gear? Thanks in advance.

Re: How many wraps?

For braid using a Palomar, use a double overhand knot to start (twice through the initial loop) then loop over hook or bait. Little tougher to cinch (hint, keep the overhand loop spread while initially cinching) but will not slip which is the criticism with braid and Palomar. I've not had it fail us...

Re: Another U40 Cork sealant question

I probably did 40 and still have half to a third left. Not all were full cork but some flip sticks and swim bait rods too. Another question, how long does it last or have to be re applied if ever? Assuming with use it wears?

Re: FX2 & SX1

The. Hook up tackle noted that their experience with Fx2 is that it sinks. Anyone else note this? Also noted there or elsewhere that Sx1 is neutrally buoyant? Thoughts?

Re: Boca OS vs shielded

Any performance downside to leaving the shields on? And if I leave on, do you have to remove to flush? Seems like the more you remove the more you might damage seals anyways. Sorry for all the questions but that's why I'm asking the experts :D

Curado

Thanks for the answer to my first question. Now looking at ordering some. When I look up by reel model, there's an all curado listing, which I thought all shimano curado were same, but when I look at the old 100b (I have a few in great condition that I'm using for my son who's just starting) they ha...

Recoil guides

Just curious, seems some people don't like them. I personally don't mind them, and past the looks, there's some benefit to not breaking or bending etc. Thoughts? likes, dislikes? problems? or is it just purely personal preference.

Re: Braid to Fluro Knot

Couple of questions. I've also seen it with the braid looped and leader wrapped so what is correct? Also the links by Mundo show two different versions of the knot. The one from stripers online shows what I always thought was the Alberto wraps up and down, but the video from Schmidt shows only wraps...

Re: Great job on the Gary Dobyns article...

Cal, what did you think of that 736C and the 9" lunker punker? was that rod overmatched? or did it handle that heavy bait (?3ozs?) OK/well?
