Is this reel basically a ss sv 103 with a faster gear ratio and a purple shallow spool? Just wondering if any one owned one and how they liked it?

Getting back to the original topic.....i guess im not in the norm, i actually love the recoils......i could care less about how much a guide weighs...my thing is about durability in a rod and guides, and if i had a dollar for everytime the kids, my old dog, or me stepped on a guide or a ring popped ...

What do you prefer using the 855 and 895 for? I havent fished the 855 yet but the old bcr glx 855 was one of my all time favorites....and my hopes are this rod is very similar, very powerful rod that i will be using for swimming jigs, throwing larger jigs and plastics around docks and heavy cover.....

And if anyone is worried about getting tired from lack of balance on 3 And 4 oz rods, I can get them 7 day free passes to my gym, that might help. it doesnt matter how strong you are. an unbalanced rod is going to feel unbalanced from the first cast even for Dillon and Butch. https://www.youtube.co...

What have you been using and what squarebill reel do u feel is the best out there? Ive been using shimano Calais 100A but thinking about picking up a 13 Metanium or a Metanium MGL

The Nrx will probably be more sensitive...The Lamiglas Infinity is built on a nfc im blank if my memory serves me correctly...not a bad blank, but its not the nfc hm blank..

Im a big jig fisherman so ive spent quite a bit of time throwing 1/2 jigs with the 894...liked it so much i picked a second 894 up..spent a little time throwing small jigs and shakeyheads with the 892....also have a 893, 855, and 895.... just waiting for the cold weather to put the glxs to good use...
