Re: Alphas Ito/103 question

I didn't see the Ito, Silver Stream, Presso, Zonda or Lauda mentioned unless I'm blind.

Re: Alphas Ito/103 question

Is there a list of reels on the Alphas platform? Just want it for my knowledge of what all is interchangeable.

Re: Favorite type of topwater bait?

My favorite bite of the year is the wake/super shallow crank bite, but for river smallies, give me a walking bait. I've grown really fond of the Giant Dog X.

Alphas Ito questions

Hey, I have an Alphas Ito that needs knobs, and a nut cover (the silver snap in cap) but looking at the price of knobs has me thinking that maybe buying a used SV105 handle from Tackle Trap and tweaking my drag star to accomodate might be an easier option. I guess my first question is, with the fact...

Re: Moving to lighter gear due to injury?

I’ve got chronic rhomboid/trap muscle knots on my right side that doesn’t like heavy gear. I have a 2023 feider jerkbait rod en route and a tatula 80 collecting dust that should pair well. I’m glad to hear it can handle some some plastics, have you fished a shaky head on it? Not a shaky head, but I...

Re: Moving to lighter gear due to injury?

Back in the old days, an Ambassadeur 4500C + Quantum Tour Edition 7' cranking rod weighed in slightly under 2 lbs. My right arm was shot due to saying to Hell with the relay, I'm gonna throw the bastard out from deep right to home plate. My arm was like a noodle after that. Got me into finesse ligh...

How do they compare I size to Gamaktsu and how well do the hook points hold up?
I have one pack of 2/0 Ryugi Infini that I have found to be my favorite 2/0 worm hook. I am going to use up the G Finesse that I have and move to all Infini as I need more.

I've been using the Fish Arrow J Head for awhile to throw 2.8" Keitech and Rhythm Waves.

Moving to lighter gear due to injury?

Hey all, I've got an injured right shoulder, likely needing surgery, but I am an avid angler and Kayak fisherman. I've noticed myself gravitating to physically lighter rods and reels due to less strain on it. I have noticed that using a spinning rod has become problematic also due to the nerve from ...

I believe the TD Sol as well.
All of the og Alphas variations will fit the Ito version, as will the pixy plates.
Thank you guys!

Left or right hand? Do you care for cosmetic?
I reel right handed and as long as it's not cracked, not too worried about cosmetics.

Alphas Ito/103 question

I just traded for an Alphas Ito in distress. It has some damage and, while I have found most of the parts I need, I cannot find a palm side plate. I've found a front plate, worm gear, etc. My question is, which other models beside the 103 and Ito will a side plate fit on my Ito?

How heavy are you going to be tossing? If you are staying in the 1/8-1/2 oz range, the BFS air bearings will be an excellent option.
I will be in that range almost exclusively.
