bought em once, about 25 years ago. After dealing with the mess and dried up leather on a spinnerbait. They went in the trash. Sorry to hear them go away though. They are classic.

Net bait paca craw in green pumpkin would go well. I think it would be tough to tell a difference in water with any color to it.

I agree. I've caught a lot of fish on beat up spinnerbaits that have no paint left on the head. Sometimes I think it may be better as it presents a different look.

If you can get a waterslide decal it will be the best. Put a clear coat over it.

build spinning on casting blank, and vice versa. It all works well. Just go by the taper and action, and you will be happy.

Not sure of the model, but St. Croix has some 6'10" blanks that would be stiff enough and perfect for this application.
