Re: Hefty Porn Pics
I have a D5200 with that same Sigma lens. It is a sweet setup. Now I want to step up to full frame and some nice quality lenses but yes the prices are no joke.

This.LowRange wrote:If the SV103 spool tension is like any of my other reels then it is set and forget. Set it for just enough tension to eliminate side to side play and then never touch it again.
I was thinking about getting the clicking mod too but I rarely adjust the knob on mine.

Re: Reel Gear Physics
I check and calc "inches per turn" if it's easier... I saved the following link before who did the similar calc as you did above. http://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-forums/topic/145860-reel-gearing-vs-inches-retrieved-turn-of-the-reel-handle-and-mechanical-advantage/ First off I'd like to say...

Reel Gear Physics
First off I'd like to say that I am not a physicist nor is it my specialty and will probably be wrong with these figures. Please feel free to chime in and correct me. Sometimes when I'm bored at work the gears in my head turn it gets me thinking... A lot of people TT like to upgrade their handle len...

Re: New Steez TW ALUMINUM for 2017 !
Will the Steez A TW spool have Air Brake? I wouldn't assume so. It would likely be billed an an SV reel if it had Air Brake. It's Magforce Z. With what appears to be a G1 version of the 1016 spool. Thanks. Thinking about this or the newly discontinued SV103 in 6.3. So if my thinking is correct... M...

Re: My Collection of Reels
Nice! I really like your round ones! Jealous of the Luna 103. I hope it will be my first rounder for bass, they aren't easy to find. What teqnuiques do you use the Luna and conquest for? A TD-z or a steez would be a nice addition to your line up. I have a alphas sv and a couple sv 103's love em. Th...

Re: My Collection of Reels
Sweet reels. Are the SV reels as good as Al Linder says they are? Does the spool perform on all the different reels the same. I have a lot to learn about those spools. Thanks! I got into bass fishing just about 1 year ago so my experience has mostly been with SV spools only. Pretty crazy how much g...

Re: Alphas SV with 6.8 Gears Feels Geary
Thanks Cracker. I found this post by Ian about a similar problem on the Millionaires.

Maybe I just need a shim. I emailed him. Looking forward to hearing what he has to say. I also wouldn't mind sending in the reel for a tune and polish.
