On my casting rods I use 3 & 4 mm micro guides , I'm not on the " hype " , I use micro guides for the line taming , especially on a spinning rod , not ready to go the " MICROWAVE " route yet .

I'm thinking of trading it in for 6 or 7 lb. Sniper ,I llive and fish in San Diego, know all about pressured waters , that why I want to fish the lightest I can . Been using 10 lb. Braid with a leader but my new rod won't allow a leader knot in the line , micro spinning set up with 3.5 running guide...

i used to use smoke colored Izorline XXX but have switched to the Golden Green Izorline XXX , i use 20,25, and 30 lb line
20 lb. = up to 4 oz. baits
25 lb. = 4 - 8 oz. baits
30 lb. = 8 - 15 oz. baits
20 lb. = up to 4 oz. baits
25 lb. = 4 - 8 oz. baits
30 lb. = 8 - 15 oz. baits
