what reels did you blow out the antireverse on? most decent reels have an anti reverse bearing... and those usually dont fail, but stick when it is cold (the grease/oil gets too thick when cold)
usually a good cleaning and a small application of lightweight oil is all that is required to "fix" them

Re: Pixy and Presso ("Confessions of a Daiwa Junkie&quo
dont sell the pixy short by calling it a "finesse" reel. I have been "abusing" my pixy's for the last couple of years by spooling them with about 55yds of 16# fluoro (toray BAWO). I use these reels as my primary pitching reels and have litterally smacked 100's of fish on them. The are strong and dur...

Re: Shimano Curado D - My complaints.....
IMO, the curado D should be looked at as a replacement for the chronarch, not the curado...
I like the idea of the 7:1 gearing which is probably why i will buy them as replacements for my old chronarchs.

Re: Shimano Triple Impact...
they are kinda like a topwater jerkbait... i use the 85 and 105 sized ones...
they behave a lot like the older bagley bang-olure (with the spin tail). But arent as bouyant as the bangolure... the triple imapacts cast better too
I usually do a jerk/twitch retreive

Re: Moving from Texas to Wisconsin need advice
i grew up in waukesha, but now i live outside of appleton. I fished the Fox river that flows thru downtown waukesha as a kid. Caught tons of carp and catfish... WI has mainly ice fishing in the winter, however depending on the cold you can still fish some rivers, warm water discharges (columbia lake...

Re: Moving from Texas to Wisconsin need advice
muskies and pike are fun to catch (when you are not fishing a tournament or if they just havent bitten off your favorite lucky craft). They fight pretty well, but i would rather have a 5# smallie on the end of a LONG cast with an ito-110 (which is a long ways away if you know how far and ito-110 cas...

Re: Moving from Texas to Wisconsin need advice
the best advice i can give is to join a local bass club and go fishing... the bass club is the cheapest and easiest way to get guided trips on the major bass fishing lakes... and there are a number of clubs in the milwaukee (waukesha) area you and find some club information here: http://www.wisconsi...
