I wanted to try a little heavier lure at first, and then move to a lighter lure like the weightless 4-inch Senko.

Re: "Mag" BFS Casting Rod Input
As UI indicated in a previous post, I bought the 6'8" G-Rods Game Changer "jerkbait" rod during the TW Labor Day discount sale. I have been busy with a home-repair project so I did not have a fishing opportunity until yesterday, 8/20. (The wire shelving in the master bedroom closet collapsed, and it...

I find that kids' elementary school scissors work great in cutting braid.

Re: 852c By any other name?
I got only 1 NRX 852. It's a versatile rod. Jerkbaits, topwater, worms, small jigs...whatever. It's definitely a rod that could be the only one you bring with you, at least up north. Curious about your reel and line. I have one and I want to use it as best I can. Granted I live in northern Michigan...

Re: TACKLE WAREHOUSE WISH LISTS!!!!!
Make sure you don't leave the page open where the wife can see it. On the other hand, sending the wish list to others as gift suggestions could be beneficial. Cabela's had that feature....don't know if the still do. I used the Cabela''s list one time, having it sent to my three adult daughters. The...

Re: TACKLE WAREHOUSE WISH LISTS!!!!!
I agree that the wish list provided time to consider and reconsider items. Began my list several weeks before the the sale, adding and deleting as the sale neared.
It also helps to add things when you find that you need them, making for a complete list. Otherwise, I forget some items.

Re: Meet the $100 BFS reel: The Haibo Smart
Read the entire thread. Excellent info.
There's obviously a quality control problem, especially apparent when the reels don't have proper lubrication.
I would buy the reel, but I won't buy a reel to work on it to get it operating properly.

Having done some finesse fishing with a baitcaster,
I was skeptical myself about the very low ratings.

Re: "Mag" BFS Casting Rod Input
JRob posted about the G-Rods jerkbait rod. Looking at the G-Rod lineup, two other rods may meet the original poster's requirements: 1) 6-9 medium casting rod can handle 1/8 2) 7 ft. Med Cranking, down to 1/16" The jerkbait spec says down to 1/4. Why is the jerkbait rod preferred over the others?

Re: Comparable rod to x7 super eiger
I'm getting interested in the MB rods, but the terminology is confusing.
Is the Hein the same as the Destroyer?
I was impressed by the versatility described here, and that's why I'm interested, especially the ability to cast light lures.

Re: What to do with broken JDM Destroyer?
Do you have to ship the entire broken rod to Japan?
Some companies let you send just the handle and the specs part of the rod.
That may be an option if you contact Megabass Japan.
