3 screws internally - when you take the spool out there will be in that internal side of the reel as per picture attached.
You will need a thin screwdriver to access one especially.

At this point, I used marine grade Moeller Yellow Zinc Phosphate modified epoxy primer which is meant for outboard sterndrives and outboard motors which will be the sacrificial element base if there is any further corrosion to occur / try it's luck, this will halt it. Repainting a reel...
I know there are plenty of "reel pimpers" out there and one of the best imho is Igor Zacchi on IG, his work is flawless... I wanted to give a home job a go as I've seen mixed results with people pimping reels and have seen some shoddy work too - people come in and out of the trade here like it's goi...

Re: Looking for small casting reel suggestions
What about the Curado 70? It's been around for ages (and should be relatively cheap now) and honestly I can't fault it yet... Not sure why it's dropped off the face of the planet online talk wise but its quiet a capable little reel for its form and build. I'm using mine for BFS casting 4g down to 1....

Re: Curado e Revision series info
With that drag pressure plate - the stamped stainless steel run of the mill "pickle & ham sandwich" part been around forever vs the newer anodised aluminium washer which looks a lot more refined in its manufacturing and anodising, I'm assuming this is aluminium now for heat dissipation (not just to ...

You see those pics I did before my New Zealand trip? You know where to look.
What I don't get is lesser reels have an O ring in that location to mitigate water intrusion - this one "pish posh" nah not needed... Hence gap...

When you get it check for the gap (light to shine through) in the frame and level wind shaft & bushing location - that bushing which'll be replaced with a bearing undoubtedly...

It ain't much but I'll take anything at the moment... No one else has mentioned anything or sifting through Google results has reached zero clues...
I'm going with paint and drag pressure plate as first and foremost changs I guess until something more interesting / intelligent comes up?

Re: New knob styles
I'm a big fan of the knobs on the Chronarch and Metanium and have ordered a few sets to replace the knobs on my Core and Curados. They're the perfect size to me and I've never found my grip slipping under wet conditions. IMG_20190612_215436.jpg IMG_20190612_215504.jpg You talking about these? If so...

Re: Curado e Revision series info
While preparing for my outing tomorrow holding both e's in my hands under Led down lighting there is a difference in the paint - the Revision 1 E seems to be less copper colour than the revision 2 E... The green flec at the top seems the same however there is a difference in the lower base copper fl...

Re: ICAST 2019
Look at all the good names they've dropped... The Core was a terrible loss...
I reckon the Sustain too will be on the chop soon enough.
But give it time like the Bantam - it'll come back... "in one form or another".

Should be some interesting stories in here... A old mate of mine cast a lure out and subsequently snagged it proper... Cast the exact same lure out in the vicinity and lone behold he come up with the other original lure which was snagged - no fight with the second lure as to be snagged again - like ...
