Re: Calcutta TE 300 vs. Calcutta TE 400, 401

Thanks Bantam 1, so in your opinion, are the guts/gears of the Curado300 comparable to the Calcutta TE, or are there big differences? If money were no object i would buy another te, and not give it a second thought, but since this reel will be used occasionally, I am wondering if I should save mysel...

Re: Calcutta TE 300 vs. Calcutta TE 400, 401

I use the CTE300 and Curado 300E for all of my swimbaits now. The CTE is better for the 6+ ounce baits because it balances on the rod a little better. What type of rod are you using? I was thinking about pairing the reel with a Dobyns 806 MLSB, to throw 8" Huddlestons. The reel I pick will be ...

Calcutta TE 300 vs. Calcutta TE 400, 401

I had a question,

Calcutta 300 vs. 400, 401
There doesn't seem to be much of a weight difference between the Calcutta 300(12.5) oz vs. 400, 401(12.8oz)?

What are the differences between the two besides spool capacity?
Do the two reels share the same frame but a different sized spool?

Thanks!

Re: TackleTour 2012 : Welcome to the "Creature Fever"

I wonder how the reviews on the Yamamoto Senko will go...

I want to see which rods will be the top of the line, in terms of sensitivity; especially the NRX vs the JDM rods.
The best lines, especially a fluorocarbon showdown would be nice as well. :big grin:

Great article Cal, I don't think I have ever read any faster. The one that got away, is always a tough pill to swallow, but two 17lbers is nothing to cry about. Those pictures of the fish in action are breath taking. Did anyone hook into a Tigerfish while you guys were down there? Once again, ...
