Re: Gomexus handle question.
Gomexus handles use a shimano post set up, Shimano knobs will fit but not Daiwa knobs. If buying individual knobs they come with a spacer to fit on Daiwa handles.

Re: Steez A HLC Spool mod
OK, so New 2-spring HLC spring (and inductor) parts are perfectly interchangeable to older Z -brakes? => Have to order those Boost brake parts... he has swapped between 2 boost spools not older z spool. assuming the z boost spools have done the same as the SV spools. in the sv boost spools the hub ...

Re: Expected shipping time
Just keep in mind that you’ll pay 9000 yen for shipping. Other places are cheaper in that regard. They will ship 2 rods in one tube if you have 2 you want to buy. I got 4 rods in one tube from that store with heaven in its name. tightly packed in a pvc tube with a tape on one end to remove rods fro...

Re: Souped Up : Aftermarket Bolt-On Reel Handles from Gomexus
Are there any Geomexus users who can share their experiences? I am particularly interested in the ones with the cork knobs. I really like the cork and they are very light for their size, they do get discolored quite easily as they are uncoated but i like that look , others may want to seal the cork...

Re: Souped Up : Aftermarket Bolt-On Reel Handles from Gomexus
Great review. I have been stocking their products for the past few months as part of my reel repair business in Australia. Must say the people at Gomexus are great to deal with and very helpful and also very open to criticism where its due. I have converted all but one of my reels to Gomexus handles...

2022 Mentanium Shallow spool
I have been a long time user of Daiwa baitcasters and I am getting the itch to try a high end Shimano and thinking of purchasing while the prices are good at Digitaka , last shimano baitcaster i had was in the late 90's one of the coriolis versions. The Metanium shallow spool has caught my attention...

Re: Which is your favorite rod company?
Just had to change my vote. was G Loomis when this poll was first put up. but now my current favourites aren't even listed that being Major Craft Rods a JDM company and Bone Rods from Singapore. Though I do like the look of Shimano's latest line of rodsI bought myself a Shimano Zodias spin rod to pa...

Re: flushing/cleaning bearings
I use an ultrasonic jewelry cleaner. I put the bearings into a glass baby food jar, along with acetone, and start it up for a cycle. be very careful with acetone. i have ruined some high end ZPI ceramic hybrid bearings before as I wasn't aware they used polymer cages to hold the balls in, most bear...

Re: Shimano iCast leaks?
There is the SLX BFS available from Japan, But i believe you also have a Curado BFS in the USA. We haven't even got the Curado 150MGL in Australia yet.slipperybob wrote: ↑Sun Jul 03, 2022 11:22 pmI wish Shimano will just release some cheaper casting reels with shallow BFS spools for ice fishing. Hmmm..
Re: Bfs reel
There is a new Alphas variant due out sometime in July. The shallow spool 800S which should work in that power finesse category.

Re: Zillion TW HD ‘22
I got a chance to finally field test my hd 22 xg punching thick Mats using 1 ounce weight with 60lb braid on a 7’11 Daiwa steez punching rod. The drag was slipping slightly even after lock down , not sure if it still needs a wear in period but I’ll report back. The previous 18hd which I still have ...
