Re: Steez SV TW castability compared to Tat SV TW
^^^ I think "hogsticker knows something he didn't share with us.... Thank you sir for changing a variable and encouraging a retest... I did the best I could without respooling reels. I have everything setup differently now than I did before. I was able to get consistant enough results to prove the p...

Re: Steez SV TW castability compared to Tat SV TW
To the best of my memory that test I used a 3.8" keitech in black shad color with a gammy 3/0 1/8oz screwlock hook with 30lb Daiwa j-braid on a 7'0" mf envy black... It could have been a different weight hook though. lol The point of the test was to see what the improvement of casting distance was p...

Re: Steez SV TW castability compared to Tat SV TW
^^^ I am a performance based practical kind of guy. For 3/32 im using spinning gear. A $20 spinning reel will cast further than a $500 casting reel in this situation. Even though this is not an application I agree with I am now curious as to what will happen with the casting reels mentioned. I will ...

Re: Steez SV TW castability compared to Tat SV TW
hmmm... well since the O.P. asked about casting and in 3 pages nobody actually mentioned distance I guess I will try to share my experience. I like testing and comparing things fairly. I own a steez sv tw, and a tat sv tw. One day I put them both on the same rod , both were spooled with the same lin...

need not red spool for stradic cl4+ hg
I am looking for a different spool (just needs different color) for my stradic cl4+hg.
The red accented spool just doesn't match any my rods and yes setups that match catch more fish!

clear sideplates
Does anybody know if and where clear sideplates can be purchased for Daiwa casting reels? Like the ones on the megabass reels for zillion or steez specifically.
Thank you
Thank you

Re: arachnid rods
Yes I agree there are many solid choices avail in that price range. I compared it to SC Avid, GL E6X and Shimano Crucial before I made the purchase. I do not know if same as tatula, I have no experience with them. Here is a 3lb 15oz largemouth caught this summer on Medium power pole with a fat ika. ...

arachnid rods
Hello all. I recently joined this site to enhance my knowledge and share my appreciation for tackle with others who fish. I have searched but find no posts discussing or reviewing or owning arachnid rods from cabelas. I feel they are some of the best rods available for the <$200 price point. My spnn...
