Why 70? Let get it straight Daiwa, don’t get me wrong I like Daiwa, sold most Shimanos. Stop trying to be Shimano for just one second, please.

Re: Enough with the tackle. LETS SEE SOME FISH!
It’s been quite awhile since I hold a big slab. Worth the cold and got up at two in the morning. Only one crappie but damn 5 bass. That is fine table fare! I agreed, white flaky meat plus cold water to booth the firm and clean taste. Too bad it 2-3” bigger than I would want. That is okay I can enjo...

Re: 2024 SLX with MGL 3 spool.
That sucks that your slx dc xt is starting to feel Geary. Did servicing it help with the geary feeling? What did you use yours for mainly? I have one and it’s as smooth as the day I got it and it was most used for chatterbaits and crankbaits. Aside from my zillion sv I used this slx dc xt just as m...

Re: 2024 SLX with MGL 3 spool.
The SLX is okay for its price point, the frame is small enough and comparable with Curado 70 or Tatula TW 80, I agreed a lot of newer Shimano get geary and noisy over time and this thumb bar design is suck a$$ especially when wet and slippery. To be fair you have to compare SLX line up with Tatula 1...

Re: 3D Printed Knob Removal Wrench
For 25 bucks, You can buy SLP power knob and the tool should come with it. I was looking for one awhile ago, luckily and thanks to this forum, I got one from @goldrod. https://www.amazon.com/Daiwa-Power-Knob-Cork-Reel/dp/B00TVQG56C/ref=mp_s_a_1_14?crid=2YTVT2X1M61UH&keywords=slp%2Bworks%2Bknob&qid=1...

Don’t know why, sometimes we just plain stupid, with 3 of the Alphas SV TW 800 and 800s I have, some how I spent the same amount with lesser reel.

Re: Daiwa Pixy cast control cap
Any pictures to show how far? Since this is your second cast control cap, maybe thread on the reel damaged or dirty?
Showing where cast control cap should be? If you can feel resistance on spool once cap control all the way in, you might not have problem.

Re: Scorpion DC vs SLX DC
My first choice would be 2022 SLX DC XT 70 and second would be 2017 scorpion DC 100. The SLX DC XT come with MGL spool and shallower spool make it very capable of everything from light to heavy. Some said 70i DC but to me 70K dc would be more suitable. MGL spool, Main shaft support bearing, these a...

Re: Daiwa silver wolf
I’m not sure if it is a good or bad thing, but I don’t like anything Magseal as of right now. How do you guy maintenance Magseal bearing? Another difference from zillion is braid ready worm gear. On the other hand I don’t have problem bombcast Fatika or switch to 1/16-1/8oz roadrunner with Ray’s Spo...

Re: SV BOOST Shallow vs. RCS 1012SV
So back to questioning these spools, is there a problem with say using the RCS 1012SV in the newest Zillion TW HD? I have considered that reel for the paint job and I like 100mm handles, but am not a fan of the Mag-Z Boost spool. I'd rather have a Boost SV Shallow, or maybe even the 1012SV. Just wo...

Re: Alphas Ito/103 question
No you are not blind, like I mentioned earlier I don’t have money to afford expensive stuffs so I didn’t mention any megabass reel. I thought you just wanna know what different in alphas in general just so you can find interchangeable parts if I know you want those collectible reels I wouldn’t bothe...
