I'm not really a fan of daiwa's lower end offerings. Personally, I would go with a shimano sahara 1000 before a legalis. Or, what I'm currently using, an abu soron SX 20, if you can find one. I got mine for about 60 bucks on clearance, and its a nice little reel for the money. Smooth, and saltwater...
