Re: Alphas sv105 vs Alphas ct sv
Your going to get a little more finesse capability. You would be better off putting one of your cosugi works spools in one of your sv105 reels and save your self the money. You already have a pixy and a alphas air stream custom for the light stuff. Definitely. I didn't explain my reason but i was a...

Re: A classic rod and a new reel
If you don't want to pay for a paint job for the sideplates of a pixy or rob the sidplates from a sol, there is always the spruced up sol option.

Re: A classic rod and a new reel
There is always this option.... I see your lefty orange Pixy and raise you a lefty orange Pixzilla: http://www.tackletour.com/images2/picsuperreels3.jpg  I can't believe this thing is 12 years old ](*,) Your reels are beautiful. My almost orange pixy is an easier option. I have to give Radu An...

Re: Pitching a Tent
I have 2 tents that I really like a Marmot Fortress 3 person tent, but you can't stand up in it and a Cabelas alaskan guide geodesic tent 6 person. I camp and fish in the spring and sometimes in the fall, so I like a tent that is going to keep me warm if need be and have plenty of ventilation if it ...

Re: Pitching a Tent
Do you want room to stand up? Are you ok with sleeping on the ground or do you need a queen size air mattress?

Re: G Loomis IMX-Pro or E6x 802c JWR
I have the IMX-Pro 802 C. Using it for finesse jigs like a Pepper Custom Baits Micro Jig 1/4 oz size or Z-Man Shroomz Micro Finesse Jig 1/8 oz size. Works well with jigs or t rigs in that 1/8 oz range. Have even put a keitech swing impact swimbait 3 1/2" on a z man finesse shroomz jig head 1/6 oz.

Re: A classic rod and a new reel
Very nice combo, what finesse baits are you going to use it for? Don't know yet. I might try it with a Ned rig first...or maybe a small jig. Any insight? The Pixy Rod works well with open hook baits. I bet the ned rig would work well or a flick shake jig and worm. I have fished a 1/8 oz crappie jig...

Re: Opinions on best Dobyns rod for jigs
I really like my Dobyns rods but if your looking for the most sensitive rod get a NRX. The NRX 893 is a sweet rod for 3/8 oz jigs but if your going 1/2 oz get the NRX 894. I love my DRX 723C for skipping 3/8 jigs. Haven't tried the 754 or 755 yet.

Re: Cosugi Works Spool bearing
Sweet, now you have to do a casting comparison and let us know the results. What rods to you use your cosugi spools with? What lure weights? Thanks I have several rods that I have fished with the cosugi spool. Megabass PopX Stick, X4 Cyclone, X4 Super Mirage, X7 Super Cliffhanger, Daiwa Presso AGS ...
