Welcome to the Shimano Product Support Forum!
I want to thank the fine people at Tackle Tour for allowing us to do this! We have ventured into the web as an avenue to provide even more customer support. This is a great board and you do a great job. It just seemed natural to link up with TT and extend our support to the members on this board. My...

Re: Manufacturer Support Forums
I will ask my contact at Shimano Canada and find out. They operate separately of us and do not offer the same programs that we do. Some of our dealers do not participate in this program either. It is solely up to the dealer to take part in this program. We cannot force them to do so. Maybe some Chin...

Re: a calais dc question for zander or other users
the "ideal setting", as with any brake system, will be different for every user. Only way to find out is to buy one and use it. This is pretty much true to be honest with you. Aerodynamics of the lure, wind conditions, moisture in the air etc; all factor in. Use of FC line can change things as well...

Re: So...definitely a Core over an Mg7?
I'll let you guys know something about the new reels. We actually have been providing the input for what we need here. The Chronarch B, The Core, all new Spinning for example is mostly our input. We provide them with the features we need, we select the frame designs from a series of prototype design...

Re: Evergreen Seadrive and Luckycraft Snap Kick???
I have fished the EsDrive with decent results. I can't imagine the SeaDrive being much different. I have not used the others that you have mentioned yet. I know another good bait along these lines but I'm keeping that one quiet for a while

Re: Manufacturer Support Forums
There is something better its called DC. The centrifugal design is much better than a magnetic control found in some reels. The weights are only used at the beginning of the cast and then back off to allow more casting distance. We have also reduced the mass of the VBS hub to make the rotating mass ...

Re: Noticing something
They're selling them off to make room for our new reels Just kidding
It's interesting to see this trend with some manufacturers products. Some people buy them because they hear how "great" they are, and in reality it may not be suited to that persons style or needs.

Re: Manufacturer Support Forums
Shimano Canada is very small compared to our US office. It is pretty much 15 people or less up there in the north. They rely heavily on warranty centers and parts suppliers. Almost everything ships out of our warehouse to them or to their dealers. Let me know if you need help and I will put you in t...

Re: New Shimanos @ El Salto...
Thank you!! I am looking forward to posting on this site. I think I will have plenty to offer on this site. No new leftys right now. The Metanium/MG7 isn't available in lefty either. We are at the mercy of Japan and the development/sales team here for left handed products. Once we get everything rol...

Re: New Shimanos @ El Salto...
Nice Bass Zander.. cant believe Cal wasnt there . or we just didnt see him? I declined because I knew they wouldn't have the lefties ready yet ;) Oh yeah forgot about Shimano and their "almost non-existent" lefty market. :x The left handed reels make up a small portion of the entire reel mar...
