Skirtmaster tool. Been using one for 20 years now. They are still made and I personally think the best tool out there for loose stranded skirts.

Re: Jig Fishing from shore
Smalljaw, hit the nail on the head. First of all make sure you know of proven spots that hold fish, otherwise you will get frustrated trying to learn how to use a jig and catch fish with them. My nephew fishes from shore all the time, and he uses a grass jig. Grass jig is another name for a swim jig...

Re: Custom Jigs wanted
Mark, it's close however most all of the bass jig molds Do-It sell are all 1/4 oz and bigger. Anything smaller than 1/4 oz and the selection is very small and limited.mmarkinma56 wrote:Is the do-it mold bass-3-ay mold a close fit to that style jig head 1/4oz 3/8oz 1/2oz sizes

Re: Winter Jig Love ?
Previously , I have been of the opinion to use a jig trailer color very close to the color of the jig . Now many of the jig colors (i.e. Dirty Jigs) come in amazing realistic colors with several different color strands found in one jig ! Whose to say any more what a proper jig / trailer combination...

Re: Winter Jig Love ?
First day of winter in less than a week (can you believe it ?) ... To many , Winter means dragging a jig to entice a better quality of bass to bite . What is your favorite jig / trailer combo ? For me : Bass Patrol Brown / Green Pumpkin 3/8th oz and 1/2 oz. football jig in living rubber and silicon...

Re: What's up with North Star

Not to say that they can't be adapted for your style of fishing. On the Snootie, I like the upturned 60 degree eye, as I like to bounce or hop this jig on the bot...
