Re: Looking for some ideas on organizing terminal tackle
Not hi tech or will not work depending on your set up but I use little prescription pill bottle for my small stuff. It seems like the plastic packaging that most of the terminal tackle comes in usually rips or is hard to open when your hands are wet and cold and want to blow away when it is windy. S...

Re: shipping reels
Whatever you do, dont ship that many reels via USPS. If something happens, they will just refuse to pay you because you can't prove what the items are worth, regardless of the amount of insurance you purchase. ouch, not what I wanted to hear. Not the most impressive list but I have a tdz, red pixy,...

shipping reels
Time to ship my reels out to be cleaned and upgraded. What shipping service do you use? Also how do you insure them? I have a few reels that I bought new and don't know if I should insure them for price I paid for them or what they are worth now. If you insure them for price paid will they even pay ...

Re: General Questions
Another set of "general" questions, just think it's nice to have a thread for multiple quick answers than create an entire one for a question. A few random questions are: How do the Abu BFS reels compare do Daiwa/Shimano? Has anyone ever used Daiwa Steez fluorocarbon line? Is anyone else crazy like...

buzzjet vs wopper plopper

not sure but I think the Japan model was the same as the tdz minus some bearings.

Re: An ubelievable kick in the teeth
Another story.... It was a while ago but I used to hide my spare cash in my white ployester leisure suit (think John Trvolta). One day when I went to grab some money the suit was gone. My wife gave it to someone. Of course they denied there was money in it and my wife was pissed at me for hiding mon...

millionaire cvz 203la drag star
I usually back off on the drag on all my reels after fishing. Not all the way but just enough to have the line tight with the lure on the hook hanger. this morning when trying to tighten the drag the star wouldnt move one way or the other. Any ideas what would cause this? thanks john

Re: sticky inductor ??
yes 3d...the original t3 1016. I can pull the inductor straight. Was hoping for at least a temporay fix to get me thru the summer till I can send it to the tackle trap this winter. Seems like all my reels are starting to have little problems all of a sudden.thanks again

sticky inductor ??
I have a t3 1016 that I love. The problem is 98% of the time it casts great but the other 2 % it acts like there are no brakes and backlashes within 20 feet. There seems to be no rhyme or reason as to when it is going to happen. When it happens I bang on the side of the reel and it fixes it till the...

Re: Will you be willing to wear this hat when fishing?
I had a couple and didnt find it very comfortable when you tucked the back inside the hat when you didnt need it. Also it wasnt very wind friendly. Ended buying a Columbia omni wicking 50 spf long sleeve hoody and wear an old comfortable baseball hat. Also have a buff around my neck that I can pull ...

zillion 50th or type r vs steeze A
i have both the 50th and type r zillion and was considering the steeze A. If anyone has used both can you compare them? How light a lure they can cast, how smooth etc. The zillions have more bearings but mostly in the handle which could be added to the steeze. The steeze A has the TW which I like in...
