Re: Tsurinoya Proflex 2 Impression
Yes, I’m using 1.5PE (15# J-braid grand). I have caughrt about 15 bass between 1.5#-4# (4.18/4.2) over the past couple of days trying out these BFS rods. I have used my PIXY68R, Core50, SOL, Tatula 100 (DIY) spool. Tough little rods. https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/lwxvBdFMSlgxTaATUKTWZCsYrtWshcvd...

Re: Tsurinoya Proflex 2 Impression
I received my Proflex yesterday. I ordered on 1/8/19 so the shipping wasn't bad at all. My only complaint with the transaction is that tracking info would come in spurts (I guess its better than no tracking ;) ), I would get four or five updates all at the same time. I also purchased a Kuying Teton ...

Re: Finesse jig and light texas rig rod for 3/16 - 1/2oz
I have the Daemos/FMJ combo for the whole range of jig/TR and swimsuits. I think they complement each other well.

Re: Megabass F5-72X Daemos
I've used the PIXY and a tuned SOL on it, it was great for cranking and texas rigging. I swapped out the Pixy for the new Tatula 100 as I really like an 8.1:1 for my plastics. I think I am going to get a JDM Steez XG for it.

Re: Megabass F5-72X Daemos
nice, I think your Gambler is closer to the FMJ. the Daemos would be a lighter model, I compare the Daemos more to prior Bearing Downs that I owned.

Re: Megabass F5-72X Daemos
interesting, I always thought that rod was a Med Fast. I must have been mistaken. Have you fished the FMJ? The FMJ as a F6 is quite a bit stouter than the Daemos F5. I know that comparing different lines F5,F6, F7 don't always match up. I would have thought a Gambler F7 would be even stouter than th...

Re: Megabass F5-72X Daemos
I switch reels out all of the time ;). Steez sv tw, tatula sv tw, tatula 100 with DIY spool, core50mg7, Pixy PX68-R lately been pond thrashing with the tatula 100, it will empty the Ray's DIY spool with a 1/4TR or 3/8oz jig with a yamamoto spider grub. I switch between 20# and 40# jbraid brand with ...

Re: Megabass F5-72X Daemos
I have one, mainly texas rigs, jigs up to 3/8oz, some spinnerbaits, jerk baits, even square bills (if I don't bring a cranking rod). what do you want to know? I bought it to complement my FMJ for lighter contact work. The Daemos has a softer tip and casts the sub 3/8oz better than the FMJ. Both are ...

Re: What is the ultimate 1/2oz Jig combo?
Cal, you would pick the Braillist over the FMJ? The FMJ is a moving bait stick where the Braillist is for vertical bait presentations. In my hands, the FMJ is purely a jig and worm rod, and a fantastic one at that. Aye... i got the FMJ mixed up with the EMTF... darn initials.  ... I thou...

Either that or the new Orochi XX Braillist ... that's a good candidate too.
