Re: dobyns only
Price range isnt really a problem, thought about the 745 but i dont flip/ pitch jigs as much as i do plastics. I would use a 3/8 weight as the lightest weight, not alot of punching up here in wisconsin, but there is some. Just really looking for a rod that is super sensitive that i can flip/ pitch/ ...

dobyns only
I need a new flippin stick and was thinking either a dc765 or a dx795. Dont even bother trying to talk me into getting a different rod besides dobyns, I only use the best. Would appreciate any sort of reviews of the rods including tearing big holes in the mouth on the hookset and all that good stuff...

Re: anyone here melt and make their own plastics?
I do it every now and then, your really not gunna want to melt down old plastics though, not only will it be really really smelly, the colors will probably burn meaning they will change.
your better off just buying all the needed stuff if you really want to do this

Brovarney jigs, and I'm not talking about the swim jigs, well those are my favorite too but the delta jig and the lil sumpin are killer

Re: invizx
I have found that invisx has its hits and misses, the 20lb is golden and nearly indestructible in most situations, and the 10lb is great for leaders, but I have never had any sort of luck with the 15lb and actually fished identical setups one with 15lb and one with 12lb and the 12 seemed stronger......

Re: Trokar hooks
I set the hook hard so that's not a big deal for me, but i use the flippin hooks regardless just because of the bait keeper, never had one move on me which is nice, otherwise all gammy's.

Re: Phenix Recon snapped like a twig
There are a couple of models of recons that have breakage problems that need to be worked out, I've snapped 2 764s on fish that weren't even legal within the first 30 min of using them. Your better off going with Dobyns IMO, just better overall quality even in the coalition's.
