Anyone ever used or handled one of these? Considering one for a light jig / Ned style rod but haven’t pulled the trigger yet.

Yep, been using braid/leader since the 90s. There are plenty of things that I still like a clean straight fluoro for though.

Anyone have this rod? Interested in any real world feedback, rating seems awfully light but in the Luxxe videos it looks like it has a little more backbone than you’d expect on paper.

To me that’s maybe the best looking reel of all time... but I’ll admit in this case I’m BIASED!!!!

Yes. Even with 25# fluoro no way you will spool it with a swimbait. You can bomb cast deep into the spool but it holds plenty.

I recommend fishing and comparing an actual Conquest BFS or even a 2019/2020 Conquest DC. That Calcutta 51 might feel like an underpowered coffee grinder by comparison.
