NRX 853c vs GLX 853c
Can anyone share their thoughts on these two rods as far as power and tip? I have the newer model GLX 853 but I want to upgrade to the NRX 853. I really like the way the tip loads on the GLX 853 for 3/8oz t rigs and was hoping the NRX counterpart was similar in power and tip. Before anyone says NRX ...

Re: Any news or excitement about Jackall Poison USDM drop?
Are the 2019 models 2 piece construction I can’t find any info on that part They do make 2 piece center cut models but those won't be available in the US from what I've seen. It looks like all three casting models offered in the US will come apart at the handle. Usually, only the rods over 7' come ...

Re: Lets see all them Daiwa's
My first and only Daiwa as I'm a Shimano fan boy. Not the best pic as I took the pic for a buddy to show him the M spool. I'm trying to like the dark side

Just putting this one together, waiting on a carbon handle to arrive. I wish ZPI made a spool for this reel.

Re: Any news or excitement about Jackall Poison USDM drop?
Just noticed the new Adrena is "Spiral X Core". I wonder if there is any difference between that and "Spiral X" found on the OG Adrenas. Maybe it's just a name change of the technology.

Re: Zpi nrc001 m and pg with braid?
General question: How much different really are the M and PG ZPI spools? Besides their respective line capacity, I'm curious about this and rather than starting a new thread I figured I'd quote this. These have been out for awhile so maybe someone can chime in on their experiences with the two spoo...

The same models can be found in Japan, here is the full line up. http://fishing.shimano.co.jp/product/rod/5348 I really like my 166ml, I'm planning on grabbing the 172h when they become available. I'm curious to see what the warranty Shimano offers on these will be, though I'd have to guess one year.

Re: Antares 2019?
Thanks for the pics. That is odd about no other handles fitting in the new Antares. It looks like Shimano "gapped" the space between the drag star and the handle using the handle itself vs. building up the material on the drag star to create the gap as seen on all their other reels. Nothing a spacer...

Re: Megabass levante
You might want to check on the rear grip length of that rod. The 1st gen was a little short for my liking for swimbaits. Not sure about the gen 2, as I haven't held that specific model. The shorter grip is part of the appeal! Or at least it is for me. Fishing small ponds/lakes from the bank and fro...

Re: Antares 2019?
Was cool to see the new Poison Adrena in that TB video. I'll be interested to hear on the water reviews of the reel from those here on TT, I'm giving it some serious consideration as my first Antares. Not sure why though haha. Hard to imagine it'd be better for me than a Metanium MGL.

Re: Best combo for a chatterbait?
3/8oz - nrx 843 and glx 844 (cover dependent)
1/2oz - glx 844
3/4oz - poison adrena 7'2H
Typically use braid but I do throw 3/8oz on 16lb sniper around hard cover and minimal grass. 7:1 reel.
