Yeah I've been thinking about that - some fishing on the St. Johns, I don't go out trying to fish brackish but sometimes the tides move the salt line around. It would be pretty rare to get above the salt line, but I might be better off with the originals just in case... Are the F and Ito ok for "occ...

Do any of the Alphas have clicking drags - I though all 3 were the "silent" variety.
I also found a post from ChuckE saying the gear in the Type-F is some sort of plastic (like in the pixy) instead of metal? That would seem to be a minus right there - right? Or does it matter?

alpha's - why choose ITO over original or Type-F
Man I've been reading alot of threads on the alphas the past few days...enough to know I want one over the feugo/viento line. But, I can't find a reason to choose the ITO over the Type-F, which is the one I would be leaning towards. I read several "get the ito" posts but not one that really said why...
