I find the PIII Bearingdown to be a fine jig rod but versatility goes more to the X7 Bearingdown Type X as per the TT review

Re: Phase 3 super destroyer vs x7 super rekkai
The 853 doesn't have the same legendary status as other rods in the NRX range. My advice is that you have to try them to decide for yourself. This is the creme de la creme so you can't go wrong. I know that the extra sensitivity isn't needed by those who were born to fish like Phelps is to swim, the...

Re: Spool for TD-ITO 103M
I struggled with distance when using the Super Cougar too. That would be fine if it was a rod designed for pitching but for tossing cranks, distance is important. My advice is that you can get the desired distance with a smoother casting action. Give it a try and you might not need a new spool

Re: Phase 3 super destroyer vs x7 super rekkai
The rods listed are more suited to heavier cover 1/2oz. For 1/4oz then you are looking at the Super Eiger or the Bearingdown Type X and then 3/8oz, the Bearingdown from the Phase 3 line. I personally don't like shorter rods for jig fishing as when I used the Super Eiger, I didn't always get the best...

Are there any performance advantages to reel knobs
The OG corks on my Jdream 6.3's and red RCS corks on my Jdream 7.9's really add to the look of these reels but my question is; Are there any performance advantages to reel knobs ? I saw the Jdreams dressed up with aftermarket knobs from another posting and I just had to replicate with the knobs. I g...

Re: Battle Royale - MB X7 Diablo Fast Move vs P3 Nautilus
The Nautilus has moved on and it looks like the Diablo Fast Move won't be far behind it in favor of the Evergreen HCSC-72MH EG Swimming

Re: Daiwa SV103
I have it from a reliable source that the stock SV103 is a good caster. So that means the Jdream and SV103 are in direct competition.
It would have to be tuned to be optimum for flipping. I must say that my Jdream 6.3's with OG corks and 7.9's with red RCS do look rather nice.

I'm interested to hear people's thoughts too between the SV103 and Jdream. I suspect the Jdream wins when casting distance is preferred while the SV103 makes for easier flippingjpmoney wrote:

Re: Battle Royale - MB X7 Diablo Fast Move vs P3 Nautilus
1/2 Oz swim jigs I like the DFM better. Mid to semi deep cranks I like Nautilus better. Thats kind of my thinking too. The DFM has a nice taper for good hooksets needed for big single hook baits like Swimjigs/Swimbaits. I can see how this is different from Treeble Hook baits. I know this for shallo...

Battle Royale - MB X7 Diablo Fast Move vs P3 Nautilus
I have a problem, one space in the boat but two willing candidates for that spot. Your help deciding between the Megabass X7 Diablo Fast Move and the Phase III Nautilus would be greatly appreciated.
The chosen rod will be used for 1/2oz Swimjigs/Swimbaits as well as deep cranks (20ft).

Re: Which MB Vision 110 has touches of Chartreuse
Thanks fella. Wakin React and Ellegy Bone look to be the best. I was mistaken with Ellegy Bone, must have been a bad picture, it's transparent so will be good. There is always Chartreuse Shad too.

Re: Anyone fished the Evergreen HFAC 70HST
I already have the X7 Bearingdown Type X and I'm a fan. I hear it is much improved over the first stinger tip rods from Megabass so I'm hoping that Evergreen learned from that and the tip is all sensitivity and not so much fragility

Re: Anyone fished the Evergreen HFAC 70HST
This is everything that I have found about the rod so far but encouraging that it was used for bottom contact with a 3/8oz bait which is what I intended to use it for too
