Re: Owner replacement hooks
How did you face the hooks? For tuna its usually done that the hook points are towards each other. I might give it a try. It should be a better ratio for landing fish right?

Re: Megabass S Crank
I just replaced hooks on some of my other cranks. Looking at the S Crank, the front hook closest to the bill is much larger than the back hook. Not sure if that could cause to snag more. I didn't replace the hooks though on the MB lures. Gonna test them out first to see how effective is the design. ...

Re: Megabass S Crank
I don't know if it was suppose to deflect the way I was expecting to. I cast it past a log and it was probably already 3-4ft under the surface already then it tried to go over a log about 1ft under the surface. Now thinking about it, it was a dumb move. I am new to cranks/squarebills so deflecting o...

Re: GLX crankbait?
Small squarebills 3\8 and a bit heavier. I get a good hookset, loosen my drag, but half ways to the boat the fish comes off. Not even big fish either.

Re: GLX crankbait?
I won't buy lower end rods anymore because eventually (next buy) will be a flagship rod. Currently for jerks, I'm using a GLX popping rod, Megabass Arms Elsiel, Megabass c40 Elsiel spinning. All those I've been losing fish. I'm going to try replacing my hooks also but I think the rod will make the m...

Who's fished these?
They look great and I have a few on order. I'm pumped to get them. Gotta wait for the shipment from JPangler.

Re: Trinidad 14a, 12a & 10a size difference
I have both the 12a and 14a. For jigging, depending on how much line you need, the 12a is perfect. I use it for albacore and smaller sturgeons.

Re: Your opinions Talica 12ii Vs MXL Raptor
Talica all day. I've never fished the Avets though but my Talica handles tuna and oversize sturgeon. I cast it just as well as my Trinidads.

well worth it. I love the wide glide. I use them for stripers and kill them.
