Re: T3 ballistic vs other t3's? wut's the diff?
So whats the difference in the T3's? I know the ballitic has a cheap handle, lower ball bearings and probably the worst looking paint job out of them all. So what makes say the T3 MX cost so much more money? Are the spool's that much different? I want to get a t3....was going to wait for tatula but...

Re: Question on Daiwa Reel Parts
Just contacted him. Thanks. But am open to suggestions from other users if the parts are interchangeable between the pixy type-r and the regular pixy.bstuckey wrote:http://tackletrap.com/ Contact Gary or Brian and they will either have what you need or will be able to source whatever you may need.

Question on Daiwa Reel Parts
Hey guys, Planning on upgrading some parts on my daiwa pixy reel. Was wondering about where I can source the clutch cam spring for this reel as a precaution in the unfortunate event that the piece goes flying. Can I use parts from the daiwa pixy type-R like the clutch cam spring (A) and clutch cam s...

Re: Someone do an Official CI4 REVIEW!
I also had a chance to check out this reel in person at my local tackleshop. They barely got it in 2 days before I got there. Anyways, I mounted the reel on two rods: shimano cumara A 6'8" medium, fast action and a phenix recon m1 7'2. To be honest, both my brother and I did not like this reel at a...

Re: Chronarch d
How good is the chronarch d? Is it better than jdm shimano reels such as the scorpion? Everyone raves about the reel, and I am curious why.. Thanks For me, it palms very well and is very, very forgiving. It seems to have very tight tolerances that are boosted out by the aluminum frame and brass gea...

Re: Chronarch CI4+
I don't think the D7 was a poor mans Calais. And to me x-ship doesn't mean much. Some of my JDM reels have it and can't tell much of a difference. I would disagree with you mrpao regarding x-ship. You will feel it when you get a fish on the end of your line and you are cranking him in as hard as yo...

Re: Chronarch CI4+
CI4+ material = deal breaker for me. I'll stick with my D7's. I agree that the older chronarch 100D reels were UNBELIEVABLE. I recently bought a like new one and I can't stop using it. I for sure am going to buy this new reel to test it out. I might switch out the handle though, but I'm definitely ...

Re: Shimano Chronarch 100D5 brake case problem
There is a lever on the bottom rear of the reel. Flip this lever to the "Open" position and the side plate will pop out. The brake case threads into the reel. It may be tight so you might need to use a tool to get it loose. I use a small pair of needle nose pliers inserted into the small machined h...

Shimano Chronarch 100D5 brake case problem
Hey Bantam1, There is a problem with my shimano chronarch 100d5 reel. I recently purchased this reel in excellent condition (luckily) but upon arrival I am not able to open the brake case to take out the spool. I have reels like my calcutta 50te gt reel with a similar brake case and it opens easily....

Re: Favorite shimano reel for spinnerbaits n buzzbaits.
My vote for this is actually the Shimano Chronarch 100D series. It's lighter than the calais reels and the reel is smooth. This is by far my favorite reel that shimano has ever released in the US market.

Re: Rough Day on the Lake Today!
WOW! I'm surprised because I haven't had an issue yet. I've got one of the new 7'2H M1 rods and I put that rod through hell saltwater fishing and even overloading the recommendations with swimbait fishing. The rod handled everything fine. Now as far as custom phenix rods go, I have the Ultra MBX 7'6...
