C in front of the size means compact frame so a C3000 would be a 2500 size with a 3000 spool. HG means Hi-Speed Gear more line incoming per turn. XG means eXtra hi-speed Gear M is a medium depth spool S means shallow spool DH means double handle There are some slight weight differences between them...
