C in front of the size means compact frame so a C3000 would be a 2500 size with a 3000 spool. HG means Hi-Speed Gear more line incoming per turn. I certainly am (see original post again) and now I think I have narrowed it down between the Super Elseil and the Cyclone Advantage. They both seems like great rods.
