zodias 7 2mh with braid is my go to spinnerbait combo...

so how is the balance on the new rods..specifically the 894/895c models...are they still crazy tip heavy with a light reel (met 20)??....

i have a javelin and tried using it for spinnerbaits/chatterbaits....did not like it at all...felt too limp for the thumping blades of these baits.....IMO..expride 72 mh glass is the ultimate chatterbait rod....my javelin is back to use as a crankbait rod only...

javelin..i been using it for sq bills/mid depth/deep crank and spinnerbaits...if i had to bring only one crank rod with me..this is the one...

been using my orocchi braillist for dark sleepers....i just wished these things were more weedless and the eyes more durable..

braillist is a pretty good option to consider also...

well...got my hands on a mb usa destroyer javelin..but i think i'm itching to add dobyns 765cb also...i love my 704 n 705 so i think this rod will fit my needs also....thanks for the input everyone...

Hi, What is your favorite rod for skipping a jig. Gonna start to learn how to do this and getting a lil frustrated with my 735c . think its too stiff for my ability right now. looking at skipping 1/2 structure jigs. Thanks! try using a shorter rod to skip....p5 super destroyer gets my vote also..

megabass orochi braillist and enforcer would be my two picks from my arsenal....if you can afford to go up to the p5 line...xbites and windbuster would be a great combo too.....

what depths are u usually cranking in??....so far i find dobyns champion cb series are great rods...

If I had to pick one it would be my dobyns 764rm. It will throw small flat sides and square bills to smaller deep divers. It has the tip of the 704 coupled with the mid of the 705 and a little extra length that helps with light baits. i love my 704 n 705...use them for topwater/jerkbaits/sq bills a...

i normally have 4 crank setups that i use on a friends boat to cover all depths (zodias 7 6 mh glass /dobyns 704 n 705/cumara 6 8 m)...i have been looking for one crank rod that can cover all depths and in a pinch can throw a 6xd or deep crank on days that i can only bring one crank rod with me...wh...

conquest 101 with zodias 7'6'' glass for cranking and met 13 xg with dobyns champion 734 for 4.8" keitechs are the two most used combos when i'm out fishing...i bring a total of 6 setups with me each time but find i use these two the most all day...
