I've found that though the NRX rods are "technique specific" as are the BCR GLX rods - all geared toward bottom contact presentations, the NRX series have a little more versatility because they're a bit less fast than their BCR counterparts. I still don't like using them for moving baits personally...

It would have to be the st croix legend extreme XC72 medium heavy moderate. Handles everything up to one ounce for me. Very versatile stick.
