Re: I believe she is the "one"
Man I could have saved you a lot of money and time. But that is half the fun I guess. That NRX894 is one of my favorite sticks. I use mine mostly for jigs, but it will work for all kinds of bottom contact baits.

Re: NRX 852C how does it translate to JDM rods?
First two numbers are total length in inches and the third number is power. I power being light, 2power medium and 3 med heavy and 4 heavy. Nrx rods seem to be a bit on the light side of most power rating systems. I dont have an 852, but do have a 893, 873, 894, and a 852s spinning rod. All rods are...

Re: Core 51Mg7 Handle Upgrade
i tried some of those handles (Chronarch/Metanium) but ended up with straight ones on my Core and Alde mgs. for some reason it rubbed the drag but i have heard others having success! if you decide to drop a little more into it that reel, check out the 7.7:1 brass gears if you havent already. http:/...

Re: Loomis 853/854 vs 893/894
I use my 893NRX for t-rigs with a 1/4 or 5/16 weight, mostly with a beaver. I always have a 3/8 or 1/2 jig tied on my 894NRX. Both work great in their application. Dont have a 853NRX or 854NRX, have a few glx rods to fill these spots. Do have a 873NRX and would say I like it a lot also. It would al...

Re: Need help ( Bottom contact rod)
Would agree 100% with the NRX852s. But would also throw the NRX894 in the mix for the jig rod. Love both of these rods.bigfruits wrote:MB FMJ and NRX 852s

I am fishing Hollow bodied frogs in heavy pads and slop with a GLX 855. It is a beast and really hauls em out of the junk.

If I was you I would look into the Costa 580g lens in sunrise silver mirror. They are a great lens for low light conditions.

Yes 4120 is the bearing 4220 is the knob. It may also take a shim or two to adjust the play in the knob.

Re: Replacing round stradic knobs
I have changed all of mine out with the knobs from Curados, there are left and right hand knobs so you will have to pay attention to that when you order and you will need a knob cap also ( I used Red caps), I replaced the one bushing with a bearing when I made the switch as well.
