Re: Bait Monkey is F***ing Me Over!!! HELP ME!
The 893 is in a league of its own when it comes to sensitivity and feel. It may be a bit tip heavy, but just add a bit of weight to the but and you are good. It is not just a longer 853, not even close. This rod just has that "IT" feel. I did not think I would like the added length, but love it so m...

Re: If you could have only one crankbait...
I would say a Rapala DT-6 also. Great crankbait, but the ccr-08 would be a very close second for me.
Re: Nrx 894
It is a killer 1/2 oz jig rod.

Re: What is your LIGHT texas rig setup?
Wow....I am amazed that you can get the rig to work for you, especially wtih 15-lb line and a MH rod. I've used down to 1/8 with my 893 no problem with Aldebaran. How does it work for pitching? I have done the same, pitching is no problem. I pitch more than cast. The reel setup is just as important...

NRX 893 with a Core 50mg7 and 15# Tatsu. I throw mostly 3/16 tungsten wights with a small creature bait (beaver) or a small worm or tube. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000HE5WD4/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Awesome. Stupid question, what exactly did you put in them for your 894? Balance never been a issue to me BUT is there really a big diff? Ive got a mgl on my 894 Some people use quarters, I use large egg sinker...

1' is the size I use. Mine start out as a big thick protector, then I turn them and sand them down to size. Good luck with your search.

Re: Loomis GLX BCR803 compared to now?
I'm not really trying to compare a rod from 2005 to one from 2017, but how does this rod feel to folks still using it? I picked up one that should be here today. Recoil, full cork grip and finish look like the guy kept it in a dark closet it's entire life. Rod is immaculate. I read TT's review on i...

Re: Parts for CH50e compatibility question
You may also want to post this question in the Maintenance and Supertuning forum. You might get more replies. This reel has been done every which way. I believe the parts mentioned will fit, but wait for a more positive response to be sure. Good luck.
