Re: New Chatterbait

..., i think the steel spinner bait wire may be the way to go, will need a good tool to roll it to a really tight radius... . Check out companies like Hagen's and Anglers' Workshop. There are lots of options and dies for tight twists and high gauge/quality wire. I like Jann's, but on a limited basis.

Re: New Chatterbait

...I also have a buddy that opens up hook eyes, the key is you need a really fine torch nozzle and use MAPP gas, i watched him do one a work and it looked like a PITA. Unfortunately , using high heat incorrectly loses the proper temper, or anneals the stainless and will weaken it substantially. Whi...

Re: Spinnerbait guys: different blade configurations

Depending on whether I am trolling or casting ( usually casting by far) slow or fast deap or shallow I mix it up pretty well.

Re: Spinnerbait guys: different blade configurations

Depends on tons of variables for me . I fish/make big spinnerbaits starting at about 3/4oz and going up to about 5 oz on some tandems. Some of my favorites, especially because muskie have never seen them before, is something that has not need produced for many decades. A Little Cleo 1/8oz trolling s...

Re: Best braking system for heavy lures - Magforce, Mag Z, or Centrifugal

If you have bigger hands/and or like bullet proof round reels , get a Ryoga. If you like how the Z palms better, geta Z2020.
You will not be disappointed with either.
The Ryoga can be found in a power gear , if needed .

Re: MB Lauda vs Alphas SV

After putting these through their paces , for those who have or are purchasing them, please review.
I'd be interested in how they stack up against Zondas and if the newest/limited Laura aesthetics are better ( have to be...) than the original .

Re: Spinning REEL - Kastking vs Shimano

Assuming you are at about a $30 budget I would go with the Japanese based proven Shimano over the Chinese based Kastking.
I personally would take the $30 and hit eBay and find a higher quality used Shimano than the one you are looking at, especially if using 1oz baits...
