X2 for any first hand info on the Smoke out there. I tried asking about it a few months ago, and got minimum return feedback. I havent bought a Quantum caster before, but the Smoke has my attention. Great fish! Similar combo to what I like to use. I agree, the lighter combos can still be quite deadly for reds. Especially when casting smaller presentations longer distances to keep from spooking them. 10-12 pound Yozuri is my go to line on the flats as well!

Agreed - Id go with the 3000

If your up for something that is a touch more finesse oriented, you can pick up a Sol for around $100, or slightly over, if you keep your eyes open. Out of several options that I have in my arsenal, my Sol ends up in my hands quite often for lighter baits.
