I have multiple conquest 50 reels. I have no problem throwing 1/8 ounce with 8# yozuri hybrid and the right rods with any of them. Thanks for all the input guys. A 2015 conquest 100 is on the way along with a met dc. Thought long and hard about the met but I know I will always wonder until I try it! That's exactly what I hoped for. The plan is to use it for those exact purposes - med rod with 12# test for 3/8 to 5/8 lures. I'm sure the DC met will be great too, but I prefer variety and love the idea of a new conquest. Love those wooden knobs by the way! I'll order a met and Calcutta this weeken...

A new conquest can be had for right at $350 with shipping from Japan lure shop if you are willing to max the budget. You can't by a better quality reel and it would be perfect for light salt. You can choose the size that best suits what you mainly want to do.
