Re: Reel impact on perception of rod sensitivty
I own an Evergreen SuperStallion and the difference is night and day depending on which reel it’s mated with. I wanted to use my MB Origin with this rod for some bottom contact, carolina rig fishing. I was not impressed and blamed the rod for the poor feel and sensitivity. The very next day I decide...

Re: NRX 894 vs MB Nautilus for 1/2oz jigs in 15 to 20ft
For me the NRX are still the sensitivity kings of all bottom contact rods and I must admit are extremely comfortable to hold all day long. The Nautilus is very good but it gets edged out sensitivity wise from the NRX and for me isn’t as comfortable to hold all day with the handle being so slim.

Re: Upgrade bearings on DC reels?
In a word NO! It will help the DC system perform to it’s fullest. If you dial back the DC brakes to their lowest settings and adjust the tension control cap to what is comfortable for you, and you have a trained thumb it will help maximize distance. Then when the wind picks up you dial back in the D...

Re: Monoblock Questions
I couldn’t agree more with both John and Gary, I throw 1/4 oz. to 3/4 oz. all the time using the stock spool. Only my reels are tunes by e_bassfisher which gives me an edge.

OK I was initially confused by the term tuned. Better word in my opinion is being dressed up by Drave. Nice looking handles and knobs for sure!

Re: Millionaires Club
I always wanted to see what all the fuss was about, I added another rounder to my collection. Soon she will be on her way to e_bassfisher for a complete refurb with upgrades. Here she is when she arrived: IMG_Ringa_TT.JPG I added ZPI Sic BB an Avail Handle and sweet wooden knobs: IMG_Ringa_SSS copy....
