There's really no reason to NOT build a proper acid/spiral wrap...less the aesthetics hurt 'yer feelers more than the benefits of the build would provide.

Re: Servicing LT MQ MagSeal spinners
“Magseal Delete Kit” aka a normal 5x9x3 bearing and a 1mm thick washer because the magseal bearing is a non standard size at 5x9x4 Absolutely, I have actually discussed this with Greg aka, "Rise", as he has done it to all of his MagSeal Daiwas. In so far as servicing my baitcasters, the only thing ...

Re: If You Could Have ONLY One Lure for the Rest of Your Life
Ahh....so it's a YT'er... I'm going to say that this YT'er meant it to be one type of lure, with no limit on quantity as well as having different variances. Otherwise from a pure survival standpoint, we are back to using wooden hooks and homemade wire hooks and bait, fish traps, spears, handlines, e...

Re: If You Could Have ONLY One Lure for the Rest of Your Life
Like ONE/"1" only for the rest of our lives? We'd be HOSED...that lure would likely be lost in one outing.
Lol.
Or do you mean as many of ONE lure type or ONE EXACT lure model/weight/variations?

Re: Servicing LT MQ MagSeal spinners
Perfect, thank you! I'm sending in my 2013 Real Four Certate 2510R-PE, but on the 19 Morethan and Steez A HLC I have, that's good to know I won't have to mess with the MagSeal bearings.

Re: 2024 SLX with MGL 3 spool.
The Tatula 70/80 are pretty damn impressive overall values as well. That frame and gearing/internals being shared with other high end Daiwas combined with exceptional casting performance, is a helluva nice package for the price.

Man, I felt the The Dark Side compelling me to necromance this one. Anyone else do this with a TDZ or more likely, it's just easier to pick up a DIY spool now days.

Re: 22 Zillion TW HD
I questioned whether or not the aluminum gear on the JDM would work for my application but so far after about 60 steelhead the reel is still buttery smooth. Probably my favorite reel over the last 10 years. Yeppers, Daiwa's duralumin and brass in most of their higher end and now new hyper Gen reels...

Re: Who is the MOST over rated ?
I have only owned three factory St. Croix...two were excellent, a slate green LE 6'6" MH and the legendary brown blank LE in 7'0" Med. The third was a total turd, for the way I fish anyway. It was the Legend Xtreme 7'2" (IIRC) MHXF...was supposed to be a great light plastics and small jig rod, and i...

Re: Ryoga 1016H (Black) gear set
the z2020 limited has 7.2 digigears, but i don't know if its fitting the ryoga. Nope, not a chance. The Z2020 and Z200 gears a quite a bit larger than the Ryoga 1016 gears and even larger than the Ryoga 2020 gears. Ryoga 2020 has the smallest gears? Now that's interesting. No I read it as the 1016 ...

Re: Jackall Revoltage
Anywhere you can pick these up for less than $300 shipped? I am interested in them but around that price you're looking at JDM destroyer range and quite a bit more than JDM expride and I can't bring myself to be a guineapig and see if they're worth it One of our TT members has his 7'1" Hvy/Solid Ti...

Improved Alberto = strongest
Lazy Alberto/Shin Fukae = finesse thin lines
Uni to uni = easiest in low light and windy conditions
FG = most streamlined and uniform
