Re: Longer ML spinning rod
Hi everyone I'm looking for suggestions on truly ml spinning rod. Currently I'm using Conquest 902 for my finesse fishing. It's nice for 1/8 shaky head + worm, jigs etc, but can't go lower with good distance. Looking for rod more than 7'. Is 7'6" Steez ags m/ml good for lighter applications? Other ...

Re: Best Squarebill rod
If you can find one used, the megabass X7 F4-68X7 cyclone advantage is a great squarebill rod, 3/8 to 1/2oz max.
Re: NRX 895
I had this rod and used it for 1 season and hated it. It was basically a jig only rod, maybe heavy t-rigs, but that's all it did for me. It was however super sensitive but.....was the most tip heavy rod I have ever used for bottom contact. I quickly sold it and have zero regrets. If you want to bala...

Re: Who is the MOST over rated ?
Dobyns for me. Bought a whole bunch in 2014 and sold them all off within a year. Poor quality, guide inserts popping out, bad cork, and sensitivity lacking. I fished the savvy, champions and champion extreme in various spinning and casting. I think if you are someone who fishes HARD in tournaments, ...

Re: Help choosing NRX
For 1/4 to 3/8 t rigs hands down the 893C, crazy crazy sensitive. Honorable mention to the 853c as well.
Anything over 3/8 i would go 894C over the 873c

Re: Megabass Cyclone advantage
I have one and love it. I use it mostly for jerkbaits and topwater, but have also enjoyed it for 3/8oz squarebills. Very sensitive as well!

Re: Conquest 842S or Megabass Addermine
My vote is for the addermine as it will do any finesse technique really well. In my experience it is a very sensitive rod that is close to the NRX IMO. What sets it apart is the handle ergonomics - while ever so slightly less sensitive than the NRX, the ergonomics make the rod far more enjoyable to ...

Re: Ordering from Japan... Metanium MGL???
I would personally go with JapanLureShop. I ordered a Met Mgl on Mon June4 and it arrived Fri June8 in the morning, Japan to Canada. On top of the quick delivery, they included a FREE Megabass Vision 110 jerkbait as a gift \:D/ Note that the Met Mgl is overbraked vs the 13 Metanium in my opinion, b...

Re: What is the ultimate 1/2oz Jig combo?
For me, it would be:
Rod: Daiwa steez racing design 7011 HRB , OR Megabass destroyer FMJ
Reel: Daiwa Steez SV TW 8.1:1, or Steez A - Equipped with ZPi NRC001PG spool
Line: 18-20lb Seaguar Tatsu, either straigh floro or 50lb YGK WX8 ultra jigman braid to 20lb Tatsu leader.

Re: 16 Destroyer JDM v. 17 USA Destroyer
The texture or ribbing of the unfished blank on my faust and super destroyer both (16JDM) are the same. The texture of my FMJ (17USA) is noticeably different than the jdm models. I feel like my super destroyer is more sensitive than my FMJ. My best guess is they are using different graphite. They s...

Re: Evergreen Inspirare RS rods
Thanks for the info on the egoist! Sounds like it would be good for power. Do you think it has the guts to pull 1/2oz spinnerbaits or 1/2 swim jigs with trailer through the weeds? Im just thinking versatility here, maybe this rod can do more than just bottom contact. I do have a MB diablo fastmove ...

Re: Evergreen Inspirare RS rods
Hi jmb27 - how do you like that EG egoist ? I am thinking about acquiring one of these and wanted to know if it is any good at bottom contact, jigs and t-rigs in the 3/16 to 3/8oz range? I would also want it for many other techniques as well. Is it really a "heavy" as stated in the specs or is it m...
