I picked up the steez today. My dealer gave me a deal I could not refuse. $250.00. He had it on the shelf to long and wanted to move it. i'm going to order new 7.X gears for it and a longer carbon handle with Megabass knobs.
May even add a little bling to it!

After some more study, The higher speed real would go better in this technique.
The nice thing about the higher speed in this reel is the gears are made of brass.

Looking to pick up this reel for a jerk bait set up. It will be going on a G Loomis MBR842 GLX. This set up will pull second duties as a drop shot set up also. I have a new Chonarch MGL, but it is in the 6.XX ratio. Nice reel. No I don't have to spend 5 bills to be happy. Just had to set an upper limit. Also have a Steeze SV TW in 7.1 that is on my worm rod. Have been so busy with work that I have not had a chance to fish it.

I asked a question very similar to yours. CAl replied that he prefers the 3000 series for the larger spool diamiter. Also you can get spare spools for different uses.
