Re: JDM Rod Warranties

We do not offer a warranty on the Poison Ultima as we do not offer this model in the US. The Adrena is covered by a one year warranty. Technically they do not have a warranty in Japan. They come with a card to send in with the rod. If they evaluate the rod and find it was a defect, they will replac...

Re: Need help on which Rod to buy. Dobyn's Dx, MegaBass or E

I'm not sure exactly how light you mean when you say light jigs, but I've got a Tour Versatile and I can't see being able to throw a 1/4oz jig on it. At least not very well. I've mostly used it for heavier hardbaits so far but last time out I had a double fluke rig tied on it with swimming flukes an...

Re: Enigma

I'd definitely wanna know more about the blanks and see one in person first before I made my mind up. But, just looking at them and reading the specs, at that price I'd rather buy two 13 Fishing Omens or one Envy. Plus the whole deal seems kinda gimmicky to me, especially with those guides. There's ...

Re: What's happening with Basspro's website?

I definitely think the web site sucks. The store here in Arkansas sucks too. Tried to pick up some Sunline Defier or Seagaur Shensi and they didn't have either one. Academy did tho. It's an hour drive for us and we got burned a couple of times so I always call and check first now. They rarely have w...

Re: It Actually Worked!

The double fluke rig is effective. But with 4 or 5, you are better off with the A-Rig. I'm not so much worried about throwing four or five at once as I am getting it to work with some bigger baits. Tho I will probably try and see if I can get three to run together just cos I'm curious. Honestly, I ...

Re: MB X7 Simoon

While I'm sure you could cast smaller moving baits with the Simoom it really is better suited to bottom contact baits. With a jig on it feels so "tense". It isn't soft enough for me for cranks and the like. When you say tense do you mean as in it translates every little vibration coming up thru the...

Re: Enigma

So he left Megabass for his own line of rods? Wow. Somebody must of put up some serious coin to make this happen. I suppose maybe he has total control over the design of these rods, but unless he was just blowing smoke he talked like he had a ton of input on some of the MB sticks. Interesting.

MB X7 Simoon

Will the Simoon handle small jerkbaits, topwaters, and cranks? Or am I better off sticking with soft plastic finesse stuff? I'm buying it so I can start learning finesse techniques and expand my skill set so it's ok if it won't handle the hardbaits, but I just wondered. The only spinning rigs I've e...

Re: Why doesn't Aaron Martens use Daiwa/Megabass reels?

While the FX73 did not have a pro's name on it. Japanese fishing sites and publications hyped this reel as the FX73 AMART. http://s.ameblo.jp/imakaku/image-11756978132-12823803412.html Well just cos it's on the interwebs don't necessarily make it so... :big grin: At least if I was gonna be wrong it...

Re: Why doesn't Aaron Martens use Daiwa/Megabass reels?

There are a few reels that carry the name of Pro anglers. http://www.tacklewarehouse.com/Quantum_Tour_KVD_150_Casting_Reels/descpage-TKVD1.html http://www.tacklewarehouse.com/Quantum_PT_Team_KVD_Casting_Reels/descpage-PTT.html http://www.tacklewarehouse.com/Wright__McGill_Skeet_Victory_II_Casting_R...

It Actually Worked!

Friday night I ran across the TT article with Don Moorman where they talked about his double Hudd rig. He runs a swivel with a leader attached to it up his main line and then ties another swivel/leader combo at the terminal point of the main line. He then ties the leaders to two 6" Hudds. It looked ...

Re: Why doesn't Aaron Martens use Daiwa/Megabass reels?

I don't follow pro fishing guys much, but I have watched a few of AM's vid lately to try and learn something about the finesse game and because he discusses his tackle some of which is gear I'm interested in. In one I watched the other day he was discussing the whole deal about the gear he uses vers...

Re: Weapons of BASS Destruction 2015 Edition

I wanted to play too so I snapped a pic of my current, uh, I'll go with line up cos I don't reckon it's reached the arsenal stage yet. There will, however, be an X7 Simoon added in there in a couple of weeks. And just as soon as I can find a reel for it I feel certain that it will increase my strate...

Re: Weapons of BASS Destruction 2015 Edition

Well, don't feel too bad Jerry. My rods have seen plenty of water lately, they're in danger of forgetting what an actual fish looks like... ](*,)
