What about the 842S? That rod seems to do a lot well.

Re: Loomis NRX users: please help a guy out...
I'm not 100% sure if Loomis does this but some companies send their employees home with rods so they can wrap guides. I have never owned an nrx rod with nice wraps or aligned guides. Still worth the coin though for certain models.

Re: Mullti piece tarpon spinning rod
$150 is going to be tough. The closest I can tell you would be the new avid trek series from St. Croix. They have a 7'6 that would handle smaller tarpon. Otherwise go after a tackle direct MH travel rod for $100

They will I'm sure. 5 yr warranty on these rods I believe.

That was helpful I agree. If you buy this model let us know your thoughts. I'd be interested in a longer spinning rod like that as well.

Re: St. Croix LTB spinning 7’10” MMF
I have not fished this model but did pick up a 6'-10" and 7'-1". These are a big improvement on past models. Great handles too!

Re: Challenge: Pick 4 NRX Spinning Rods (if you could only carry 4)
I would carry the 842S and call it a day. For me it combines 852 and 822 duties and is the most versatile in the line up.

Re: Anyone had a rod shipped from Asian Portal?
Receiving rods in the mail with no packaging or in a box is a buzzkill. Who knows what they went through and then they break out of warranty or on the first few uses and you're out of luck.

Re: NRX+ vs Conquest 843 MBR
How do you like the GLX? Reel seat comfortable? I am interested in those as well but hear conflicting things about the seat. I'm sure the reel you pick makes a difference as well.
