Re: NRX+ vs Conquest 843 MBR

I had an 843 in the gen one nrx and have had other models and one conquest. I can not tell a difference except the power of the conquest is slightly higher. Like my 842S in nrx can not toss 1/2 oz plugs but the 842S on conquest surely can. So similar to me though other than that. I'd go with whateve...

Re: NRX 901 SJR question

I have the steez and have had the 901S and the Steez side by side. The 901S has a whippy action to it. Very parabolic and for light baits would be nice. I personally didn't think drop shot for it but light cranks, hair jigs, spybaits I think it would be nice. If I went 7-6 with a Loomis it would be ...

Re: Shimano Expired B 7' light spinning rod

I heard the same thing as well. The 7 plus in model A is such a killer rod. I fished that one season. The Daiwa BLX light is even better. Wish is was longer than 6'10 though.

Re: Chris Johnston Rod

Definitely a new rod in the works from what I can see. Guides look to be AGS too.

Re: Jerkbait rod

I always fish jerkbaits sideways. To me it works better and is way more comfortable. Especially if you are shore fishing or in a kayak. A 7-6 will cast baits a mile!

EVERYTHING is religion! Climate. Medicine. Food. Energy. It never ends. Sometimes you just want to ask a person if they they have a freakin’ off switch. [/quote] I did not read all the responses in this thread but I'm sorry if someone put a sour taste in your mouth to religion. I know my life use to...

Start with the 7-6ML and you won't want to use any other spinner.

Re: Chris Johnston Rod

Sure looks like a new tatula elite rod line up that will be coming in the future. I saw this the other day and looked those pictures over closely as well. Thank goodness they are adding cork!

Re: Jerkbait rod

The other, completely opposite end of the spectrum is the Steez AGS 76MML "The One". When the water is cold, and I'm looking to get into deeper water with a Vision 110+1 or +2, this is the rod I pick up. Paired with a Certate LT 3000CXH and sinking braid, I get incredible distance, control, and dep...

Re: Daiwa BLX

I really enjoyed fishing the spinning version. Nothing bland about the style. They are Megabass quality in person. The blank and handle are really nice and have unique features. I would buy more if they had other lengths available.

Re: St.Croix Legend Xtreme

St. Croix makes a very nice rod in many price ranges but they have never made a rod that I would take over an nrx. If they changed the handle config on the elite.... that was the closest one I have fished to that caliber.
